Jimmy Harmon, 81, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016, in Columbus, OH.
He was born June 5, 1935, in Huddy, KY, to Taft and Frances Harmon.
Jimmy was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a Mason at Lodge 595 for 50 years and was a long-time member of Salem Baptist Church. Jimmy retired from Nationwide after 47 years of employment. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Emmett Harmon.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Connie Harmon; daughters, Eva Harmon and Kimberly Goudy (Greg); grandchildren, Greg Goudy Jr., John Norwood, and Lara Wygle (Justin Braun); and sister, Bessie Strawser (Bill).
Family will receive friends Saturday, July 9, 2016, from 9-11 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231, followed by funeral services at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
