William Ray Freeman, 68, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV.
Mr. Freeman was born August 14, 1946, in Fayetteville, WV, the son of the late Alexander H. and Ruth West Freeman.
He was of the Presbyterian faith and retired after 30 years of service with Mountaineer Gas.
Other than his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Anne Martin.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Hinkle Freeman; sons, William Michael Freeman of Ronceverte, WV, and Walte Ray Henson II and wife, Jennifer of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren, William Tyler Freeman, Logan Alexander Freeman, and Deanna Raye Henson; sister, Terry Lynn Baker and husband, Daniel, of Lewisburg; brother, James David Freeman and wife, Susan, of North Carolina; and four nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 11 AM at the Clifton Presbyterian Church in Maxwelton, WV, with the Rev. Janice Fraser officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Clifton Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 200, Maxwelton, WV 24957.
