Eloise Graham Ramsey, 73, of Alvon, WV, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV.
Born March 20, 1941, in Alleghany County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Asie and Dessie May Fain Graham.
Mrs. Ramsey was of the Protestant faith. She was a retired night cleaner at The Greenbrier. In her earlier years, she worked at the former Burlington Mills Plant in White Sulphur Springs, WV.
She loved gardening, sewing, and getting information about herbs, of which she had a great knowledge of their healing capabilities. Mrs. Ramsey also liked to go to flea markets.
Preceding her in death, other than her parents, were her husband, Bernard James Ramsey in 2006; and one brother, Acie Graham.
Survivors include a son, Bernard C. Ramsey at home; a daughter, Elise Ramsey of Cambridge, MA; and brothers, Atz, Hayroth, and McKinnon, all of White Sulphur Springs, and Kinwood of Monroe County, WV. She is also survived by numerous friends and neighbors who remember her as a hard-working, very kind, enjoyable lady.
Her funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 29, 2014, at 1 PM in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Bobby McClintic officiating.
Interment will follow in the Spence Cemetery at Glace, WV.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, November 28, at the funeral home.
