Loutecia Ola Ward Boggs Brackman of White Sulphur Springs, WV, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV.
Tish was born July 11, 1925, in Bellburn, WV, the daughter of the late David Lewis Ward and Mary Marguerite Walker Ward.
She was a member of the Wild Meadow Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the VFW, and Senior Friends and enjoyed her outings with the many friends she made.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer James Boggs, in 1986, with whom she had her surviving seven children; her second husband, Edgar Brackman, in 2009; and three brothers, Richard, Ross, and Rodger.
She is survived by her seven children, Barbara Reynolds (Bobbie) of White Sulphur Springs, Donald Boggs of Romney, WV, David Boggs of Fresno, CA, Dennis Boggs of Fairlea, WV, Daniel Boggs of Tampa, FL, Dwayne Boggs (Tim) of Harts Run, WV, and Doug Boggs of Miami, FL; sisters, Bess Daff and Louvertia Warner of Maryland and Bonnie Crockett of Utah; half brother, James Taylor of Missouri; half sisters, Diane VanNeil of Ohio and Pauline Branham of Beckley, WV, 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Jeanie Hamrick; as well as a host of loved friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 21, 2014, at 1 PM at Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Lowell O’Dell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs with her sons as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, November 20, at the funeral home.
