Eunice V. Weikle, 86, of Ronceverte, WV, died Sunday, September 14, 2014, after a long illness.
Eunice was born April 10, 1928, in Ronceverte to Elbert and Eliza L. Morgan.
She graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1947. Eunice married Robert Weikle on November 24, 1947.
She spent her entire life in Ronceverte, working for many years in the Ellis Dress Shop. She was a life-long member of the Ronceverte Presbyterian Church. She loved cooking, gardening, gospel and country music, and family get togethers. Her favorite vacations were spent at Myrtle Beach, SC, with her husband, Bob. Her color of choice – always green.
Eunice is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert “Bob” Weikle; sons, Danny Weikle (Mary) of Fairmont, WV, and Bobby Weikle (Linda) of Cross Lanes, WV; brothers, John Morgan (Charlotte) of Caldwell, WV, and Jerry Morgan of Street, MD; eight grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cathy Walls; brothers, Clemie, Emory, and Lundy “Buddy” Morgan; and sisters, Mildred Sheppard, Ocie Reed, Beulah Porterfield, and Faith Boone.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV.
Graveside service will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 17, at Green Hill Cemetery in Union, WV, with Pastor Stephen Baldwin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation or visitation to a nursing home of choice.
The family wishes to thank The Brier Nursing & Rehabilitation Center staff for the loving care given to Eunice.
