Mildred Mae Cox, 94, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Allegheny Regional Hospital in Low Moor, VA.
Mrs. Cox was born July 26, 1920, in Elkins, WV, the daughter of the late Ray Emery and Mamie Miller Yeager.
She was a member of Durbin United Methodist Church and was retired from Hanover Shoe Company.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George “Max” Cox.
Surviving Mrs. Cox are her daughter, Janet S. Varner (Jacky Sr.) of Millville, NJ; son, William M. Cox (Juanita) of White Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, David Warner (Donna), Gina Cavender (Jim), Michael Cox (Karen), Jodi Campbell (Hurley), Jack Varner Jr. (Sharon), and Kendra Bostard (Gregg); 17 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014, at 1 PM at the Elkins Memorial Gardens (formerly the IOOF Cemetery) in Elkins with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating.
Per her request, there will be no visitation.
