The Greenbrier County Department of Homeland Security Office of Emergency Management reported a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of central, south-central, southwest and west central Virginia, as well as southeast West Virginia.
The advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. Friday, February 26, until 7 a.m. Saturday, February 27.
The advisory states, “Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of locally up to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Accumulations will be more confined to the ridges.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.”
Impacted areas will be Giles, Montgomery, Craig, Alleghany, Bath, Roanoke, Botetourt, Rockbridge, Franklin, Bedford, Amherst, Mercer, Summers, Monroe, Eastern Greenbrier and Western Greenbrier.
