FRANCES IRENE-SMITH
Frances Irene-Smith, 81, died Wednesday, November 11, following a short illness. She passed away under Hospice Care surrounded by family.
Born January 17, 1939 at Crow, WV, she was the daughter of Pauline and James Ondo.
She was a lifelong homemaker who enjoyed her greenhouses, vegetable gardening, quilting, fishing, flea markets, and her flowers. She was a member of the Lewisburg Farmers Market, where she could be seen selling her flowers and produce. She was a member of the Mountain Heritage Quilt Guild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Delano Smith, on June 16, 1992; one grandchild; and one step grandchild.
Survivors include six sons, Walter Smith of Sinks Grove, WV, Franklin Smith of Princeton, WV, John Smith of Mocksville, NC, David Michael Smith of Hedgesville, WV, Richard Smith of Johnson City, TN, and Mark Smith of Lake Mary, FL; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Holdsworth of New Cumberland, WV, and Mrs. Donald (Deborah) Weikle of Alderson, WV; 15 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
