WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS (WVDN) – The White Sulphur Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church choir will present the Christmas cantata, “A Promise Kept,” on Friday, Dec.16, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m.
The choir will sing as part of the church’s 22-foot, three-tier “living Christmas tree.” The public is invited to attend or view by livestream on Facebook under the church name.
The Rev. Gene Sizemore said the choir actually sings from within the tiers of the tree, and the tree’s lights change with the music.
“It’s really spectacular for our little stage,” Sizemore said. He stated that the church is holding two presentations of the cantata so that all in the community have the opportunity to see the living Christmas tree.
Also, the church will hold its monthly food distribution on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 9 a.m. Food is available for all, and this month, the church will also distribute Christmas gifts from The Greenbrier’s Dream Tree toy drive. Attendees simply tell the church representatives the age and gender of the child they wish to give a gift to, and they will receive one. Sizemore said there will be gifts for children of all ages.
The food distribution is drive-through, and food and gifts will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
