LEWISBURG (WVDN) – The city of Lewisburg has announced that within city limits residents may bag their leaves and place them at the curb alongside their regular trash for pick up on normal trash day.
In a press release, the city asked that residents not rake or blow leaves into the road, curb or ditch line. This will clog drains and injection wells. Bulk leaves may be dropped off at the city shop located on Feamster Road Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. as long as there is no other debris or trash mixed in as they are used for compost material.
Residential customers must sign in at the new public works office across from Dorie Miller Park at 396 Feamster Road prior to dumping leaves. This bulk leaf drop-off service is not available to commercial lawn services. If you have any questions, call Julie Teubert at 304-645-1833.
