The following governmental bodies will hold public meetings this week:
The Greenbrier County Commission will meet in regular session on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. in room 132 of the Greenbrier County Courthouse. The meeting is livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/gbrcourthouse/. On the agenda: National 4-H Week (Oct. 2-8) proclamation; adoption of the 2021 Hazard Mitigation plan update and sign the Hazard Mitigation Resolution – presented by Region 4 Planning & Development; consider the list of poll workers for the general election; consider signing the victim advocate grant documents and discuss/pass the resolution for the new state VOCA supplemental grant for the prosecutor’s office and sheriff’s office; and more.
The Lewisburg Building Commission will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 5:30 p.m. at Lewisburg City Hall, 942 Washington Street West, Lewisburg. On the agenda: consider and act upon a proposed Supplemental Resolution of the city titled: Supplemental resolution approving terms of the lease revenue bonds, series 2022 (public works building), of the Lewisburg building commission; approving the sale and delivery of such bonds to Truist bank; approving the forms and authorizing the execution and delivery of a credit line deed of trust, fixture filing and security agreement, an agreement and lease, a lease assignment, and other documents and instruments; designating a registrar, paying agent and depository bank for the bonds; and making other provisions as to the bonds.
Lewisburg City Council will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. at Lewisburg City Hall, 942 Washington Street West, Lewisburg. On the agenda: consider and act upon a proposed Supplemental Resolution of the city titled: Supplemental resolution approving the forms of an agreement and lease, a lease assignment and a credit line deed of trust, fixture filing and security agreement in connection with the issuance of the lease revenue bonds, series 2022 (public works building), of the city Lewisburg building commission (the “issuer”); and approving other matters with respect to such bonds.
The Lewisburg Historic Landmarks Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m. at Lewisburg City Hall, 942 Washington Street West. The next scheduled meeting of the Lewisburg Historic Commission will be Monday, Nov. 14, with a deadline to be placed on the agenda of Friday, Oct. 28.
