LEWISBURG (WVDN) – At its regular service meeting on Thursday, Aug. 25, members of the Lewisburg Rotary Club heard from Teri Hartford, volunteer coordinator for Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg.
Hartford provided details of this year’s Taste of Our Towns (TOOT), which will be held in downtown Lewisburg on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m.-to 3 p.m.
Proceeds from TOOT benefit the programs at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg.
Rotarians from the Lewisburg Rotary Club have provided volunteer services to TOOT for many years, and 2022 will be no exception. Rotarians will work in ticket booths, staff barricades, and serve beverages, among other duties.
Hartford commended the members of Lewisburg Rotary Club for their service to the community.
Beginning with the Aug. 25 meeting, the Lewisburg Rotary Club commenced its new schedule of holding an after-work meeting on the fourth Thursday of each month that will emphasize service as Rotarians strive for their goal to place service above self.
