Calling all animal lovers! “The West Virginia Daily News” needs your help.
Our first week of our item drive for the Greenbrier Humane Society is off to a very slow start. As of press time, we haven’t received a single item for the animal shelter.
For nearly a decade, the newspaper has collected donated items to support the Greenbrier Humane Society, and we don’t want to let them down this year.
The humane society’s list of needs includes:
- Clump-free cat litter
- Kitten and puppy food
- Kibble for small dogs
- Liquid laundry detergent
- Dryer sheets
- Bleach
- Cleaning wipes
- Disinfectant spray
- Gallon and quart size zipper storage bags
- 13-gallon trash bags
- Paper towels
- Dawn dish soap
- Pill pockets
- Dog and cat toys and treats
- Dog and cat food
Our goal is to collect 2,000 items by Monday, May 2. We hope you will pitch in to help and get some items rolling in through the door.
Items can be dropped off at “The West Virginia Daily News” office at 188 Foster Street, Lewisburg, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
