HOLLIDAY
Nadie Lucille Loudermilk Holliday of Clintonville WV, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Brian Center in Low Moor, VA on February 13, 2022 of a long illness.
She was born in Clintonville, WV on March 21, 1938; she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Loudermilk and Eva Ollie Hayes Loudermilk. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a homemaker and loved to quilt, taking care of her kids and grandchildren, enjoyed visiting with her great grandbabies, and cooking for her family when she was healthy. She was a Christian and a member of the Church of Christ on Loudermilk Road at Clintonville, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bill” Holliday (1989); a grandson, Jonathan Lee Holliday (1984); son-in-law, Herbert “Bo” Bragg (2016); twelve brothers and sisters and their spouses, Jimmy (Peachie) Loudermilk, Anne (Oscar) Scruggs, Calvin (Cleo) Loudermilk, Amanda (Charlie) Moody, Grover Loudermilk, Hanley (Emma) Loudermilk, Amos (Velma) Loudermilk, Avis Loudermilk (infant sister), Alice Loudermilk (infant sister), Alex Loudermilk, Fred (Faye) Loudermilk, Ray (Hattie) Loudermilk. She was also preceded in death by Bill’s parents, Charles and Bertha Holliday of Smoot; his brothers and spouses, Ralph Holliday, Pete (Ruby) Holliday, Sam Holliday, Roy Lee Holliday, Carel Holliday, and David (Dottie) Holliday.
Nadie is survived by her four children, Wayne (Krystal) Holliday of Asbury, Karen Bragg of Rainelle, Karla (John) Pauley of Clintonville, and Carlos Holliday of Rupert; grandchildren, Steven (Ashley) Holliday, Bryan (Kara) Holliday, Kamrin Baker, Sarah Pauley, Missy (Chad) Seldomridge; and great-grandchildren, Abel, Charlotte, Reagan, Reed, Andrew, and Alex; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim (Jean) Holliday, Neal (Debby) Holliday, Ruby Holliday, Reda Holliday, Betty Loudermilk, Liz Brown, and Phyllis Polston; her best friend, Ruth Poage; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank her caregivers in the home, Kathy, Pat, Marlana, and Jeannie; the staff at the Autumn Way Assisted Living Facility; and the staff at the Brian Center for the excellent care of her these last few years and days.
Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Evangelist Steve Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral chapel.
