A Lewisburg Man was arrested after members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office received a BOLO (be on the lookout) for Patrick Bryar Warren, 45, for allegedly taking his father’s truck without permission and for possibly driving in an impaired state.
A criminal complaint filed against Warren explains that on Sunday, August 22, Sgt. T.C. Webber and Cpl. B.J. McCormick were traveling on Fairview Road just before Gateway Blvd when they saw a white truck matching the description mentioned in the BOLO.
“It should be noted that the aforementioned vehicle did pull out in front of officers almost causing a collision,” according to the complaint.
Officers reported that the driver of the vehicle, who they recognized as Warren, ran the truck into a ditch before bringing it back onto the roadway.
“Upon making contact with the ‘accused,’ the undersigned officer [Webber] did see that [Warren] was slow in his speech and slow to respond to commands and questions. The undersigned officer did ask the ‘accused’ if he had used any drugs to [which] he did verbally say that he had used Subutex earlier in the day,” states the complaint.
The report also notes that Warren’s driver’s license was revoked in 2019 and he has a previous conviction for DUI.
Warren was held in Southern Regional Jail on misdemeanor charges of DUI 2nd offense, unlawful taking of a vehicle and driving while revoked.
