OAK HILL- Greenbrier East earned a two-set victory over Oak Hill before falling to Shady Spring in volleyball action on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The Lady Spartans defeated Oak Hill 25-9 and 25-22, while Shady Spring topped East 25-14 and 25-23.
Against Oak Hill, Emmy McHale led Greenbrier East’s attack with five kills. Paige Totten recorded four kills, one block and one block assist, while Summer Berry added two kills and two blocks. Sydney Norman had 13 assists and collected seven digs, and Reagan Cline led the defensive effort with 12 digs.
In the match against Shady Spring, Natalie Byars finished with four kills and five digs, while Totten added four kills, one block and two block assists. Campbell Bundy contributed three kills, and Annaleigh Merritt recorded two aces, three digs and one kill. Norman totaled 10 assists and five digs, while Cline added eight digs.
