FAIRLEA- Country music fans will have the chance to see two of the genre’s most recognizable and oldest voices when Trace Adkins brings his 30th Anniversary Tour to the West Virginia State Fair on Saturday, Aug. 15. Aaron Tippin will join the show as a special guest. The concert begins at 8:00 PM on the fair’s grandstand stage.

For more than three decades, Adkins has been one of country music’s most successful performers. Since releasing his debut album Dreamin’ Out Loud in 1996, the Louisiana native has sold more than 11 million albums and charted more than 20 singles on the Billboard country charts. His signature baritone voice has produced numerous hits, including “You’re Gonna Miss This,” “Ladies Love Country Boys,” “Every Light in the House,” “Chrome,” and the fan favorite “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk.”

Beyond music, Adkins has built a successful career in television and film, appearing on NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice, where he finished as runner-up twice, and starring in movies such as The Lincoln Lawyer, Moms’ Night Out, and Old Henry. His patriotic anthem “Arlington” and emotional ballad “You’re Gonna Miss This” remain among the defining songs of his career.

Joining Adkins is Aaron Tippin, one of the leading traditional country artists of the 1990s. Tippin burst onto the national scene with his 1990 debut single “You’ve Got to Stand for Something,” which became an anthem for hard-working Americans and established his reputation as a blue-collar country artist. Over the years, he has earned numerous Top 10 hits, including “There Ain’t Nothin’ Wrong with the Radio,” “My Blue Angel,” “Working Man’s Ph.D.,” “That’s as Close as I’ll Get to Loving You,” and the crowd favorite “Kiss This.”

Tippin is also widely known for his patriotic music. Following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, his song “Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly” became one of country music’s defining patriotic anthems, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard country chart and registering emotionally with audiences across the country.

The Aug. 15 concert pairs two artists whose careers helped shape country music throughout the 1990s and 2000s.

Fans can expect an evening filled with chart-topping hits, patriotic favorites, and classic country storytelling as Adkins celebrates 30 years of recording and touring.
