Another HOT day on tap for the region as strong high pressure remains in control. We’ll see smoke again overhead from Canadian wildfires today, so this will give the sky a hazy appearance today. Highs will hit the upper mid upper 80s-low 90s across most of our area.

Our UV index will be very high today, at a level 10-11 SO MAKE SURE TO PUT ON THE SUNSCREEN

Tonight will be warm, muggy, and foggy with low temps hitting the 60s
Friday will bring a bit more cloud cover, and we’ll still be warm and humid with highs in the 80s and low 90s. As a frontal boundary dips in from the north and meanders across our area this weekend, we’ll see storms start popping up, with a few possible by Friday evening. Heavy downpours will be possible in some storms.

Rain chances will continue to rise into Saturday, and we’ll likely see rounds of showers and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon and evening. High temps through the weekend will be in the 80s, and low temps in the 60s. Additional passing showers and storms will be possible Sunday as well.

Our area is under a marginal risk of excessive rainfall through the weekend, with localized flooding possible, especially in creeks, streams and poor drainage areas. Severe storms with gusty winds will be possible as well, especially on Saturday.
