LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) — The Greenbrier County Commission will hold its regular meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in Room 203 of the new addition at the Greenbrier County Courthouse. The meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook at facebook.com/gbrcourthouse and on YouTube at youtube.com/@GreenbrierCo.

The full agenda is as follows:

Prelude
— Opening Invocation
— Pledge of Allegiance
— Call to Order

Regular Business
— Approve minutes of the July 7, 2026, regular meeting and the July 15, 2026, special meeting.
— Settlements of Estates, presented by Mary Ingles, Fiduciary Supervisor: Peggy Joyce Rhodes, Rodney Lee Agee and Ann Virginia Gieseke.
— Exonerations/County Splits/Consolidations, presented by Joe Darnell, Assessor.

Financial Approvals — Robin McCullough, County Clerk
— Arts and Recreation Transfer
— Budget Revisions
— Line Item Transfer
— Pay Bills

New Business

  1. Consider a proclamation to support West Virginia Goes Purple during National Recovery Month 2026.
  2. Consider awarding the mowing contract for the Meadow River Trail. Bids were opened at the July 7, 2026, meeting.
  3. Consider separation of employment for Michael Holmes from Greenbrier County Courthouse Security, effective July 31, 2026. Date of hire: May 26, 2021.
  4. Consider a new hire employment application for the Greenbrier County Circuit Clerk’s Office to fill a vacancy.
  5. Discussion of increasing the rate of occupancy tax.
  6. Update from the commission regarding the updated zoning ordinance.
