Minnie Lee Harris

Minnie Lee Harris, born Minnie Lee Pack on May 8, 1932, in Streeter, WV, passed away peacefully at age 94 on July 7, 2026, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV. Her long and full life was marked by kindness, resilience, and deep devotion to her family.

Minnie was the beloved daughter of the late Ralph Pack and Lydia Johnson Pack. She grew up in the close-knit community of Streeter, where the values of family and hard work were instilled in her from a young age. These values remained constants throughout her life and defined her role as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Minnie shared her life with her late husband, Dallas Harris Sr. Their partnership was a testament to loyalty and mutual support, and together they raised a loving family, nurturing each member with gentle strength and unwavering care. She is fondly remembered by her children: sons, DH Harris (Deborah) and Ralph Harris, and daughters, Janice Williams, Iris Harris, and Mary Ann Staples (Rob). Her brother, Delso Pack (Martha), survives her, carrying forward the bonds of family and shared memories.

The joy of family continued as Minnie became a cherished grandmother to Corey Staples (Gina), Tyler Staples, Rebekah Harris (Joseph Rodriguez), Derek Harris (Areial Clark), Bayleigh Harris, and Kaylin Harris; six great-grandchildren and three bonus great-grandchildren. Each of her grandchildren was a source of immense pride and love, and her presence in their lives will leave an enduring legacy.

Minnie’s life was also touched by the loss of dear ones who preceded her in death, including her parents; her husband, Dallas Harris Sr.; her son-in-law, John R. Williams; and her daughter-in-law, Jodi Harris. She is also preceded in death by eleven siblings. Their memories remained close to Minnie’s heart.

Throughout her years, Minnie carried herself with great dignity and warmth. Her love and guidance were steadfast sources of comfort and stability for her family. She built a home filled with kindness, compassion, and quiet wisdom, qualities that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation for Minnie will be held at Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Dr., Lewisburg, WV 24901, on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by her funeral service at the same location beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Earl McGuffey officiating. She will be laid to rest at Rosewood Cemetery, Jefferson Street North, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Minnie’s life was a blessing to her family and all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of love, devotion, and strength will live on in those she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Young Life – PO Box 583, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.

Arrangements entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
