LEWISBURG W.Va. Christian’s election reflects both her individual leadership and the continued strength of physician development within West Virginia’s osteopathic community. She currently serves as Student Director for the WV-ACOFP and previously held the role of Student Chapter President at WVSOM for the ACOFP, where she demonstrated a strong commitment to mentorship, advocacy, and advancing the specialty of Family Medicine among her peers.
“I am excited to take my leadership to the national level,” said Christian. “I am proud to represent West Virginia and highlight the incredible versatility of family medicine – from rural healthcare to sports medicine and beyond. My goal is to inspire more students to become amazing family physicians.”
Dr. Matthew A. Davis, DO, MBA, MHA, President & CEO of the WV-ACOFP, added, “Morgan represents exactly the kind of physician leadership our profession needs. She is grounded in service, driven by purpose, and committed to advancing Family Medicine at every level. Her election is not only a reflection of her individual excellence, but also a testament to the strength of leadership development happening here in West Virginia.”
In her new national role, Christian will help guide initiatives that support Osteopathic Medical Students across the country while elevating the visibility and impact of future family physicians.
Her election further highlights West Virginia’s growing presence in national osteopathic leadership, demonstrating how intentional mentorship and early engagement in organized medicine can translate into meaningful influence at the highest levels of the profession.
