FRANKFORD W.Va. (WVDN) – Frankford Elementary School just wrapped up its annual food drive. Every year in February, students and families are asked to bring in nonperishable food items. The goal is for every class to collect at least 100 items. The items are then divided and donated to two local food banks in the Frankford area.

This year, 11 of the 14 classes collected at least 100 items. Mrs. Workman’s class was the top class, collecting 649 items. All together, the students and staff collected 3,141 items, 174 more items than last year. Staff said, “Thank you all for your donations!”
