RONCEVERTE W.Va. (WVDN) — The Ronceverte River Festival is set to bring two days of entertainment, food and community spirit to Island Park on the banks of the Greenbrier River on Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14. The festival, which has made a steady comeback in recent years, promises a full schedule of attractions for all ages.

The festival kicks off on Friday, June 13, with a focus on community participation. A parade line up begins at 5:30 p.m., leading into the Grand Parade at 7 p.m. Following the parade at 7:30 p.m., vendors, inflatables and the duck pond will open. The evening’s entertainment includes a karaoke contest with cash prizes in the amphitheater and a performance by Aim High Canines at 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, June 14, will be packed with activities starting early. A fishing derby, sponsored by the Greenbrier Valley Sportsman Alliance, begins at 7 a.m. Registration for the Tahoe Farm Club Car Show starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Lions Club biscuit breakfast at 9 a.m. By 10 a.m., the show, vendors, inflatables and duck pond will be fully open, alongside Ronceverte Raiders sign ups and a pet parade at Shelter 2, sponsored by Seneca Trail Animal Hospital. Children’s games are scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

Midday Saturday features a silent auction at Shelter 1 from 11 a.m., benefiting Friends of the Library and the Ronceverte Woman’s Club. A 3-on-3 basketball tournament, sponsored by the Lions Club, starts at 11:30 a.m., followed by Irish Road Bowling at noon. Aim High Canines will perform multiple shows throughout the day at 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The festival’s signature event, The Great Rubber Ducky Race, will take place at 4 p.m., with duck ticket sales ending at 3 p.m. The silent auction concludes at 4 p.m., and a “Duck Hunt” is scheduled for 6 p.m. The evening will be highlighted by musical performances in the amphitheater, with Non-Friction taking the stage at 6:30 p.m., followed by rising country star Walker Montgomery at 8:30 p.m. The festival will culminate with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

The Ronceverte River Festival will also feature a variety of attractions, vendors, and fair food throughout both days. This year’s Queen’s and Children’s Pageant winners for 2025 have already been announced in anticipation of the event.
