LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – Local golfers and community supporters are invited to hit the links this spring for the Boy Scout Troop 70 Lewisburg Annual Golf Tournament. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, at the scenic Lewisburg Elks Country Club.

This annual tradition serves as a primary fundraiser for Troop 70, helping to fund essential scouting activities, including summer camps, equipment upgrades, and community service projects that foster leadership and character development in local youth.

Registration and Participation The troop is currently seeking teams to participate in the tournament. Whether you are a competitive golfer or a weekend hobbyist, the event offers a great opportunity to enjoy a day on the course while supporting a worthy cause.

To register a team or learn more about sponsorship opportunities, interested participants can contact Frank Lokant at 304-667-1375 or visit the official event page on Facebook for updates and registration links: Troop 70 Golf Tournament Event Page.

About Boy Scout Troop 70: Troop 70 has a long-standing history of serving the Lewisburg community. Through the scouting program, young scouts learn outdoor skills, civic responsibility, and the value of teamwork. Events like the annual golf tournament ensure that these opportunities remain accessible to all local youth.

Gather your foursome and head to the Elks Country Club on May 9 to help Troop 70 continue its mission of building the leaders of tomorrow.
