BLACKSVILLE, W.Va. — Greenbrier West evened their boys basketball record at 1-1 on the season with a 74-58 win Tuesday night at Clay-Battelle.
The Cavaliers, ranked 5th in the latest West Virginia Class A Associated Press state poll, outscored their hosts, ranked 7th, 45-31 in the second half.
Kaiden Pack scored 28 points, had eight assists, six rebounds and four steals for West.
Chase Boggs added 18 points, Lawson Vaughan scored 13, Brandon Oscar had 10, Chase McClung added three and Logan Shrewsbury scored two.
McClung had 10 rebounds and Boggs dished out four assists.
Gavin Moore led Clay-Battelle with 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Mojo Chisler scored 17.
West will be back on the court Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the 2021 Par Mar Stores Shootout at the Big House, hosted by West Virginia State University in Institute. The Cavaliers will face Williamstown (3-0), the No. 2 ranked team in Class AA.
