Pocahontas County High School has made a minor change to their attendance guidelines for the 2021 winter sports season. Effective Monday, March 15, only parents, guardians, grandparents and immediate household-members will be permitted to use either of the two tickets allotted to each student.
Through a social media post, dated Thursday, March 11, Pocahontas County school officials said, “If an athlete does not use his/her allotted tickets, he/she may offer them to another athlete. The athlete purchasing the tickets will only be permitted to use them for a parent, guardian, grandparent and/or immediate household member.”
The post further states, “All attendees with phone numbers must be listed on the attendee sheet, and only those listed will be permitted to enter the events. For all events at PCHS, changes can be made to the attendance sheets until 12:00 p.m. on the day of the contest.. For all away events attendance changes must be made by 3:30 p.m. the day before the scheduled event (attendance changes must follow the guidelines of parent, guardian, grandparent and/or immediate household members).”
