David Franklin Osborne
David Franklin Osborne, 77, of Frankford, WV, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, peacefully at his home.
He was born on June 27, 1947, in Hinton, WV, the youngest son of John and Ruth (Reynolds) Osborne Jr.
David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served in the Army National Guard and was an avid hunter, gunsmith, and master carpenter, who built many beautiful homes in the area. He was a keen crossword solver and loved to best his kids at Scrabble. His weeks weren’t complete without his Wednesday night dinners and Tuesday card games. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Montana and Alaska.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; sister, Sue; and brother-in-law, Van Hann.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Craig (Kerri), Sherri Wright (Kevin), Cade, and Debbie; siblings, John Osborne (Kim), Margaret Dunn, Beverly Boggs (Dale), Rebecca Hann; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024, at Frankford United Methodist Church, with Rev. Susan Sharp Campbell officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Frankford.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Wright, Kevin Boggs, Dennis VanReenen, Nathan Hanshew, Andrew Beiler, and Doug Boggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Boggs, George Wilson, Terry Webb, Danny Snyder, Josh Wolsey, and Grover Hughes.
