RAINELLE W.Va. (WVDN) – Rainelle is filled with the goodness of West Virginia, in its people, its beauty and the work ethics of can-do and get-’er-done attitudes. Adam and Candace Whanger of Whanger Contracting LLC are poised to have their grand opening/remodel of Ace Hardware on Dec. 7.

Adam Whanger is happy to announce that the former Ace Hardware at 326 Main St., Rainelle, is getting a complete makeover. Since buying the store in July of this year, Whanger and his loyal workmates have completely remodeled, re-stocked and renewed the former hardware store. We could have written ‘employees’ but Adam Whanger doesn’t see his people this way. He credits all of his successes to treating each person in his employ (and those who are not) with mutual respect, dignity and heartfelt care. If you’ve had the pleasure of working with or knowing Whanger, you will agree that his “I’m the first one in and the last to leave” attitude is what winners are made of. Notwithstanding his family and a firm belief in God, Whanger is a “boss” we all dream of working for. All the employees will continue with the rebranding and makeover complete, which Whanger is ecstatic about.

“I am nothing without my team,” says Whanger. I care about the people of this beautiful town, and I want to see it [be all it can be.] I care about their ability to provide for their families and always want to see them succeed at whatever they choose to do. If I make money, I want them to make money, too. Rainelle is a great place, and we want to bring more attention and business to the city.” Owner of Greenbrier Glass, Whanger Contracting, White Sulphur Springs Ace Hardware and property management, the Whangers have their hands full but are grateful for all who have come along for the ride.

The top-tier couple is also big into giving. Philanthropic and charity organizations can always count on the generosity of the two. They exemplify the hard work ethic West Virginians are known for in all that they do so there is no doubt the store will continue to be a success.

The “new” store will be bigger than the White Sulphur Springs store and can hold more products, which means, if you are looking for a drill or a grill, you’re likely to find it here. You will find quality tools and supplies in the shop such as Dewalt, Stihl, Milwaukee, Yeti and Craftsman. If you need supplies for painting, grills, tools, gifts, plumbing, roofing, holiday decor and lumber, “Ace is The Place!” And that’s right. They also plan to open a lumber yard with the store. All of your fix-it-up and home improvement needs, as well as regular coupons and deals, make it easier than ever to find what you need, when you need it, at a price you can live with.

A grand opening celebration is slated for Dec. 7 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. There will be giveaways, cotton candy, yumminess from the grill, raffles, vendors and special deals. Grab the kiddoes and your dad and swing by to join in the fun. The store hours will be Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Closed Sundays for now. Located at 326 Main St., Rainelle. Phone calls received at 304-438-8731.
