GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) —The Greenbrier County Convention & Visitors Bureau is entering a new era. The Board of Directors and staff are thrilled to announce that the organization will now operate as Experience Greenbrier Valley (EGV).
“Our new business name better defines our role as the destination marketing organization (DMO) for the Greenbrier Valley,” said Kara D. Dense, president and CEO. “While our name and letterhead have changed, our commitment to positively impacting the local economy through tourism remains the same.”
The recent trend in the tourism industry is to create a better connection between the location and the DMO. “Experience” was chosen as the action verb to fit the character and tone of the established Greenbrier Valley brand. The word suggests a more immersive, deeper connection to the communities EGV represents.
