Douglas L. “Bub” Baker, 61, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, in Charleston, WV.
Bub was born on June 6, 1958, in Ronceverte, WV, and was the son of Arthur L. Baker and the late Janice Jones Daddario.
He was of the Methodist faith, retired with 35 years of service with the Greenbrier Valley Memorial Vault Company, and was a past Exalted Ruler of Elkins Lodge 1758.
Surviving are his father, Art Baker (Phyllis) of Pickaway, WV; wife, Judy Starks Baker of Hillsboro, WV; daughters, Stephanie Burns (Doug) and Heather Barton (Jason); grandchildren, Chad Burns, Allie Burns, and Rachel Burns; sister, Susan Sheridan (Wes) and their children, Michael Furrow (Bridgett) and son, Issac; Hannah Bostic (Matt); and Tanner Sheridan; brother, Joe Haynes (Debbie) of Union, WV, and their children Jonathan, Joseph, and Scooter; and half-brothers, Richard Bennett and James Bennett (Linda).
Funeral services for Mr. Baker will be on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Pastor James Hylton officiating.
Entombment will follow at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lewisburg.
The family will receive their friends on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Greenbrier County Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane, P. O. Box 926, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
