Anna Gail O’Brien, 77, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at The Greenbrier Health Care Center.
Anna Gail was born on May 3, 1942, in Ronceverte, to Ruben Lawson and Hazel Massie VanBuren.
She was a graduate of Greenbrier High School, Morris Harvey College, and Valley College. Anna Gail was a retired secretary for many insurance agencies, Valley Medical, and Greenbrier Dermatology. She was a lifetime member of the First Church of God in Ronceverte, where she held various offices over the years. She was the State Treasurer of Women of the First Church of God, and served as president of her local church. Her hobbies included gardening, baking, and travel.
In addition to her parents, Anna Gail was preceded in death by her sister, Elreta VanBuren; and brothers, Richard, Norman, and Marvin VanBuren.
Surviving her are sisters, Elsie Dolores Hoylman of Ronceverte and Betty Mulkey (Charles) of Alderson, WV; brother, Elbert Lawson VanBuren (Barbara) of Ronceverte; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2019, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, with Pastor Bob Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte.
Friends may call from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
