On Tuesday, March 19, Governor Jim Justice called all Division of Highways district engineers and county supervisors to take “72 hours to write down every single road that’s in your county, every single thing that you think’s wrong,” he said, followed by another 24 hours to categorize them by priority and list what equipment would be needed to repair them. Now, the lists are in.
“Less than a week after Gov. Jim Justice directed all Division of Highways district managers and county supervisors statewide to compile full lists of secondary roads most in need of maintenance in their areas, those lists have been completed and are now available to the public on the Department of Transportation’s website,” reads a press release from the governor’s office.
