Steven Thomas Damon, 63, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, at the Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem, VA.
Born March 9, 1955, in Charleston, WV, he was a son of W. V. Thompson and Norma Jean Talbott Warren.
Steven was a member of the House of Prayer Church in White Sulphur Springs, and was an adventurous man who loved all outdoors activities including riding motorcycles, fishing, and boating. He was a Marine Corps Veteran, and a longshoreman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Kersey; first wife, Valerie Damon; and a sister, Lesa Miles.
He is survived by his five children, Kizzy Damon, Steven Damon, Malcom Beverly, Alicia Beverly, and Mary Beverly; stepson, Joshua Macey; grandchildren, Jasiah Rawls, Aysha Damon, Amya Damon, Akiva Martin, Aloni Damon, Cameran Beverly, Dorian Tillman, Ashley Beverly, Elizabeth Tillman, and Bronson Beverly; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lavonda Hobbs, Loretta Barnes, and Martha Whitlow; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs, with Pastors Vetta Wilmer, Greg Scott, and Kathy Holland officiating.
Friends and family will be received from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday.
