Deborah Louise Childress Johnson, 72, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV.

Deborah was born in White Sulphur Springs on July 27, 1946, to Owens F. Childress Sr. and Mary L. Childress.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Harry M. Childress and Owens “Spanky” F. Childress Jr.

Survivors include her children, Stephen Miller, Dawn Miller Paris, Mark Miller, and Tia Carter; sister, Phyllis Davis; brother, Richard Childress; grandchildren, Maurice Miller, Curt Miller, Marquia Miller, Stephen Miller Jr., Torian J. Miller, Sydnee Miller, Isaiah Miller, and Mary Carter; five great-grandchildren; and was loved by many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Saint James Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Greg Scott officiating. Private burial will be held at Greenhill Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs.
