Ellis Lee Smith, 80, of Frankford, WV, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018, at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV.
Born November 25, 1937, at Wellington, OH, he was the son of the late Clarence Lee and Mable Rosie McLaughlin Smith.
Ellis had retired from ABB as a machinist and was a farmer. He was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Norma Royal Smith; sons, Wayne Smith (Mary) of Port Orange, FL, and Lynne Smith (Brenda) of Lakeville, MN; daughter, Joyce Becker (Russell) of Frankford; grandchildren, Zack, Ryan, Ben, Sydni, Brett, Jessica, and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Manny, and Michael; and a step-great-grandson, Jet; sisters, Edna Chaney (Raymond) of Frametown, WV, Thelma Woods (Demil) of Mission, TX, and Barbara Woods (Dencil) of Strange Creek, WV; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 12 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV, with Pastor Marshall Cochran and Pastor Mike Teubert officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, WV.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the service, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy can be made to Norma Smith, 1913 Anthony Road, Frankford, WV 24938, to help offset final expenses.
