Frances V. “Fran” Angell, 80, of Alderson, WV, was called home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the Brier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Fairlea, WV.
Fran was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church on Flat Mountain Road in Alderson and served the Lord in many ways.
She retired, after 20 years of service from the Federal Prison Camp in Alderson. She was quick witted, full of humor, and loved playing Yahtzee and Scrabble. She enjoyed visiting shut-ins and being the “angel” which bore her namesake to so many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil B. Angell of Hinton, WV, and Ruby Angell Meador of Alderson; as well as a sister, Violet Honaker; and brother-in-law, Ronald Honaker of Massillon, OH; brother, Ronnie Phillips of Covington, VA; brother-in-law, James Shull of Massillon; and nephew, Justin Shull of Alderson.
Fran is survived by sisters, Glenna Shull of Alderson, and Judy Mann and husband, David of Hinton; brother, Bobby Angell and wife, Jenny, of Covington; sister-in-law, Carolyn Phillips of Covington; along with nieces, nephews, and special friend, Rosemary Ballard.
The family would like to thank the Brier for their care and concern, and special thanks to social worker, Kim Thomson.
She fought the good fight, and has finished the race, and kept the faith…II Timothy 4:7-8 KJV. She will be greatly missed…until we see her again.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton, with Pastor James Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton.
