RUPERT W.Va. (WVDN) – A Rupert family of four lost their home to a fire on Friday, Jan. 5. Lora Boone and her family are unharmed but sadly lost their family cat.
Rainelle, Smoot, Clintonville, Quinwood and Rupert fire departments responded to the scene at 475 Church St., Rupert, W.Va., early in the morning.
The Boone family is now working to rebuild their lives. A GoFundMe account has been set up on Facebook for anyone wishing to donate. The family has secured a sofa, but all other household items need to be replaced. Additionally, clothing and food are being provided, but the children need computers for school.
At this time the family does not have much room to accumulate donation items, but they are actively seeking a house to rent, where they will have more room. The family wishes to thank their community, friends and family for the excellent care they are receiving.
Currently, the family is asking that donations be brought to the attention of Lora Boone by calling 513-659-2685 or emailing Loralee82@hotmail.com.
