In the midst of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (April 8-14) the Family Refuge Center honored community efforts that support FRC’s amazing work in advocating for families in crisis.
During a luncheon held at the WVSOM Roland P. Sharp Alumni Center on April 10, staff members of FRC bestowed upon certain groups and individuals the Beacon of Hope – a crystal-clear, teardrop-shaped award etched with the FRC logo – as expressions of gratitude for helping raise awareness of domestic abuse, sexual assaults, elder abuse, child abuse, and other violent crimes.
