WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – The White Sulphur Springs Lions Club had a special speaker Monday night. Tonya Martin, a local Girl Scout, is working on a project for the community to help newcomers and locals become more aware of services, clubs, churches and other events and organizations they may be interested in learning more about.
Martin is collecting information to be compiled into two binders, which will be available at the White Sulphur Springs Public Library and City Hall. She hopes to speak to other service organizations soon to gather information for her binders.
This is not her first project to help White Sulphur. She has worked with the elementary school to prepare a newspaper delivery “vehicle,” and has stationed an American Flag retirement box in front of City Hall. She also helps with local blessing boxes and other Girl Scout activities.
If your group would like to have Tonya Martin give a presentation or would like to be listed in her community information, please call 304-536-4503.
