GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier Historical Society is celebrating its 60th Anniversary with all at The Schoolhouse Hotel, in White Sulphur Springs, on Dec 2, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. A 60’s theme will be sure to delight party-goers with colors, sights and sounds of a nostalgic era.
There will be music featuring the groovy musical stylings of the group, Dark Matters. Remarks by Dr. Bob Conte, former historian of the Greenbrier Resort, will also turn back time to the founding of the Greenbrier Historical Society and its 60s roots. A silent auction will be held. Both the live and silent auction items provided by local businesses and donors are a wonderful opportunity to acquire one-of-a-kind treasures and experiences while contributing to the preservation of the history of the Greenbrier Valley! There will be 2 contests and 2 chances to win rad prizes! The contests will be:
- Best Decorated Table – Decorate your sponsored table in the theme of your musical artist of choice!
- Best 60s Impersonation – Match your favorite ‘60s icon to win.
A single ticket price of $65 includes entry, buffet dinner, and entertainment for one person.
