LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – Valley Vogue Aesthetics in Lewisburg is owned and operated by Meghan Pankey. The business is a medical spa, and the staff is ready and waiting to help clients with a myriad of services. Pankey noted, “I don’t know that there’s ever been a true medical spa in Lewisburg. I know, various other places do aesthetic services, but no places just focus on medical aesthetics.”

Before getting started in medical aesthetics, Pankey began her career in family practice. She said, “I started off in family practice. My husband and I moved here in 2019. He got offered a job at the O school. Then I actually started working at Robert C. Byrd as a family nurse practitioner. It just wasn’t a right fit, family practice wasn’t; I really missed working with my hands as a nurse. I did labor and delivery and home health care. I was used to just poking people and treating people with my hands, and I missed it. So I looked for something that I could kind of meld my love for procedures and my nurse practitioner degree together, and aesthetics kind of just fell in my lap. So  I got offered a job at Harvey Aesthetics and Wellness and Beckley a couple of years ago. So that’s where I trained and basically learned everything. And I actually still work there part time and then decided to open up my own place here.”

When describing what a medical spa is, Pankey stated, “I treat facial aging. I provide services that help to slow down facial aging. So those services include things like Botox and Dysport, which can be injected into your face to help relax your facial muscles, and then it helps treat and prevent wrinkles. So wrinkles on the forehead. Those lines that people get between the eyebrows, the crow’s feet that occur around the eyes, as well as other areas. Botox and Dysport are also great at treating what we call TMJ pain. So for those jaw clinchers out there, we can actually inject that muscle and provide a good amount of pain relief which is really helpful. Botox can also treat things like excessive sweating. So we can inject the armpits and help people who have excessive sweating. I also treat the face with facial fillers to help revitalize certain areas of the face such as the lips or the cheeks. I would say the lips are the most popular area and then we also have injectables called Bio stimulators, and they actually help to stimulate collagen production in the face.” Valley Vogue also offers peels and other treatments.

Of her work and goals, Pankey said, “I just want to help both women and men feel confident, empowered and beautiful on the outside as they feel on the inside. And really, my treatments are designed to bring up your natural, your natural beauty leaving you looking refreshed and never overdone.”

To get in touch with Valley Vogue Aesthetics, Pankey noted, “I also have a website called Valley Vogue ascetics.com They can actually book online if they would like, and you can call or text 304-520-3296.”
