CHARLOTTE, NC- Former Greenbrier East Spartan running back Ian Cline, who set multiple rushing records and ran for 3,000 yards and 35 touchdowns the last two seasons at East, continued his stellar play with his new team, the Providence Day Chargers over the weekend.
Cline’s team played at Bank of America Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and beat Northwestern, the top Class 4-A team in South Carolina 42-35.
Cline had 13 carries for 73 yards and a TD in a tremendous first game with his new team.
Providence Day will play this Friday, August 25 at Asheville.
