The Greenbrier County Commission met on June 27 and was attended by Commission President Tammy Tincher by phone, with Commissioners Lowell Rose and Blaine Philips present in the meeting room.

Fiduciary Cindy Allee presented eight estates for closure, which were all approved by the Commission.

The regular business of bill payments was concluded, including a long list of line item transfers to balance the budget for the upcoming 2023-24 year.

County attorney Britt Ludwig has been appointed to be the Commission representative for the West Virginia First Foundation meetings.

After breaking into executive session, the Commission returned and proceeded to approve the contract with City Net to provide the operation maintenance for the Greenbrier County GIG Ready Broadband Project, subject to additional changes.

Also discussed in the executive session was the topic of land acquisition for the expansion of the Greenbrier County Health Department.  The Commission approved negotiations to move forward on a land purchase from an unnamed adjacent property owner.

The offices in the Court House that have been moved into the new building are the Fiduciary, County Commission, Planning Commission and Permits departments. They are located on the second floor of the new annex.

The Commission is scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, July 13, at 10 a.m.
