WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (WVDN) – The White Sulphur Springs Public Library is hosting a variety of in-house and online summer programs for children and teens with activities ranging from story time to crafts and special guest presentations.
For ages 2-5, the library presents “All in this Together Summer Storytime” every Friday at 10:30 a.m. starting June 7. Children can enjoy stories, crafts and snacks. To participate in the online reading challenge and earn prizes, sign up at the library’s website.
Those who complete the challenge will be invited to a special party on July 21.
Children ages 6-12 can join the “All in this Together Summer Reading Program” by signing up for the independent reader challenge online starting June 7. Participants who complete the challenge will be invited to a tye-die party on July 19.
The library will also offer “Make It and Take It” craft kits on Wednesdays, starting June 14.
On June 28 at 2 p.m., magician and comedian Joey Stepp will visit the library for a free program for children ages 6-12.
On July 12, beekeeper April Trusty will share the wonders of bees and display a real beehive during a free program for children ages 6-12.
Teens in grades 6-12 can participate in the “Teen Summer Reading Challenge,” an online program using Beanstack with book reviews accepted starting June 9. Register at https://whitesulphursprings.beanstack.com/.
Weekly drawings for prizes will be held every Friday from June 16 to July 21 with a grand prize drawing on July 28.
