Alvey Leslie Ray, 84, of Renick’s Valley, WV, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017.
Alvey was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was known for being a considerate, selfless man who always placed others first, and he had a calm demeanor and generous spirit.
He is survived by his children, Leslie Ray, Pamela Lilly, Tana Moskowitz, Marvin Ray, and Charlene Ray; sons-in-law, Ronnie Lilly and Sam Weese; six grandchildren, Alex Lilly and wife, Amy, Vanessa Lilly, Mike Honeycutt, Christina Frazer and husband, Christopher, and Cody and Melissa Ray; and nine great-grandchildren, Justin Amir Lilly, Isaiah Sterns, Andrew, Adrianna, Raylan, and the late Isabel Frazer, Blaine Leslie Alan Ray, Braylee Ann-Elise Ray, and August Lilly.
A memorial service will be held at the McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, at 3 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
McCraw Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
