CHARMCO, W.Va. (WVDN) – It is not every day a freshman steals the show, but in the case of Greenbrier West’s Brilee Redden, it is almost every game. The ninth grader has vaulted into her Cavalier career faster than anyone could have imagined. She is the top pitcher on the team and for the most part, has dominated every opposing team in the batter’s box with a couple no hitters and double-digit strikeout performances. She hits extremely well and is one the several driving forces behind Greenbrier West’s top 5 campaign.
What coach Tony Hinkle said:
“Brilee is one of the most talented freshmen I’ve ever had the opportunity to coach in the last 15 years. Brilee loves the sport of softball and works very hard on her craft. She has been so coachable and has made changes we’ve asked her to make, and it sure has paid off for her.”
