LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – The Lewisburg United Methodist Church (LUMC) has constructed a flowering cross for several years as one of the symbols of Easter. The flowering cross represents the transition from Good Friday to Easter — from meditation on Jesus’ death to joyful celebration of his resurrection.

LUMC would like to express their gratitude to Kroger and their floral department for providing all the flowers for the flowering cross. The church hopes the public will enjoy the flowering cross and remember the cross as an emblem of Jesus’s resurrection and his continuing presence.
