LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – The Celtic Knot Fun Run/Walk will return in-person to Lewisburg this Saturday, March 25, following three years of cancelations and virtual races due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The race starts at the Hub at Lee Street Studios parking lot and will traverse in front of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine on Lee Street, and through the Crowfields Circle and Lamplighter neighborhoods, before connecting back to the Hub via Dwyer Lane. Participants can register online or in person on the day of the race, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The race kicks off at 10 a.m.
Refreshments will be sold onsite, and a raffle will be made up of donations from downtown Lewisburg businesses. All kids, aged 17 and under and AmeriCorps members of all ages, can race for free.
This event, sponsored by the Hub in Lewisburg, is a youth-run social enterprise that offers homework help, workshops and community engagement for students and young people.
