What a difference a year makes. One year ago, on June 23, 2016, the skies opened up to torrential rainfall that flooded much of the Greenbrier Valley, seriously impacting many, including residents of White Sulphur Springs. Receding flood waters left behind mud, debris and broken hearts from the loss of loved ones. One year later, streets are clear, many homes and businesses restored and the names of the lost are engraved in plaques and memorialized with walls and community parks.
