Sgt. 1st Class Julian Ray Arbaugh, 81, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV.
Born December 14, 1935, at Ronceverte, WV, he was a son of Joseph Walter Arbaugh and Viola Catherine Jones Arbaugh.
Mr. Arbaugh was a retired Army veteran, having served three tours in Vietnam, where he was awarded eight Campaign Stars and a Bronze Star. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, Julian was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Margaret Lipps Arbaugh; three sisters, Catherine Baker, Evelyn Deskins, and (infant) Annie Lee Arbaugh; brothers, Walter, Otey, Curtis, Clifford, and (infant twins) Edwin Preston and Edgar Clayton Arbaugh; a half sister, Lena McFerrin; and a half brother, James “Speed” Arbaugh.
Survivors include daughters, Elizabeth Weston of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Teresa Wykle (Paul) of Renick, WV; four sons, Mitch Arbaugh (Karen) of Parker, CO, Andrew Arbaugh of San Antonio, TX, Chris Arbaugh (Cathy) of Odenton, MD, and Joseph Walter Arbaugh (Joyce) of Killeen, TX; grandchildren, Heather, Amanda, Ashley, Rachael, A.J., Kristen, Dillon, Tiffany, and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Maverick, Kendal, and Kamden of Texas and Kendall and Kaylen of Maryland; a sister, Virginia McDowell of Clifton Forge, VA; and brothers, Earl Arbaugh of Mabscott, WV, and William Arbaugh (Rose) of Ronceverte.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Interment with military rites will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.
Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
